- JOB HUNT -
i always thought that being able to work and earn cash during the school holiday was a great idea. This year has come to a close after our O-levels. To pass time, i would like to take on a job instead of wasting time. Ashamed of asking mum for pocket money for shopping and desperate to gather up some cash for this festive season, i decided to look for a job.Raring to go at the prospect of receiving an hourly wage and stepping in the world of adulthood, i felt more alive and mature than before.
It's time to take up challenges. =)# CASE 1- SINAGAPORE INDOOR STADIUM
Hmphhh~If alison, gregory and me will be able to work at the Singapore Indoor Stadium again, it will be really great. We have spent 2 years of christmas working there. We have learnt alot from the working experiences. We miss there alot!
However, kyan and regina. both known as our "former boss" are no longer working there. So......
NO JOBS!
# CASE 2- VENTURE ERA
I received a call from this company calling me for interview . A girl by the name of Rachel texted me the address for interview. It was somewhere around Raffles City, Capitol Buiding. I grabbed this chance and asked my best friend- vivian to come along.
Along the way, we saw many Office Lady and we thought that wearing formal clothes to work was really cool!
This company was relatively large, located at this sky-high tower in Raffles City. It is a company that sells healthy products??? Interviewed by the manager, we were a bit nervous but unexpectedly it turned up to be a friendly conversation with a yound lady aged about 20++.
The job was something related to sales of water. SPECIAL WATER contains of calcium ions, nitrates and etc, smiliar to Diamond Water for healthy comsumption. One machine costs $1800 and it lasts for 5 years. Even though we were amazed by its mutiple-uses, we still thought that it was costly!
After consideration, we had came to conclusion that maybe it was not the job that we are loooking for as it is definitely not an easy task to sell a machine that costs thousand bucks.
NAHHH...
# CASE 3 - S*ARHUB PROMOTER
My friend vivian introduced this job to me as she was told that her friend who is currently doing this job can earn about $100++ per day..
Woah! attractive wages!
The job is basically to promote *hub mobile / internet plan in a roadshow with training provided. There are 3 types of plans, the $30+, $40+ and $50+. If a costomer signs a $30+ plan with you, you will get $30 as your commission and so on and so forth.
Sounds good right? But the problem is that NO BASIC PAYMENT! so if you stand under the hot sun for the whole day maybe you get nothing in the end...
By right we supposed to go for the training after we have went through the interview but something cropped up. i dont want to mention because i was so disappointed.
I still considered the job until i saw one teenager outside the Summerset MRT station. He was also one of the *hub promoter. He tried to approach the passer-bys but no one listened to him. OMG! so pathetic.
FORGET IT. i dont want myself to end up like him.
( O.o! )
